SENATE BILL NO. 32 "An Act establishing the Alaska middle                                                                       
college program for public school students; and relating to the powers                                                          
of the University of Alaska" was read the second time.                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
Senator Bishop, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the                                                              
adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered on page 571.                                                               
Senator Begich objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no                                                            
further objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 32(FIN) "An Act                                                                       
establishing the Alaska middle college program for public school                                                                
students; relating to the powers of the University of Alaska; and                                                               
providing for an effective date" was adopted.                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
President Micciche stated CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 32(FIN) will                                                                   
advance to third reading on the April 7 calendar.
